I bought Philips VLounge as my first ever webcam and I have no idea how to save the videos or pictures to my computer. Can you help?

Answer by Sean Hill

After the video has been recorded, press the little computer icon and the software will initialize the transfer from the program's memory to a location of choice on your computer. You can't perform file operations until this procedure is done completely. Additionally, use YouCam to record and transfer the videos more easily.

You cannot rotate the image of the webcam. You can only rotate the captures you take using VLounge's built in "90" degrees button found on the main interface. Use the Philips Support website and enter the product model into the search filed. Look up your device then scroll down to the PC Software list. Download the software corresponding to your operating system and install it. The version on the website is the latest one available.

All I get is black clouds and a pixelation everywhere. When selecting backgrounds, all I see is black. Shouldn't I see the background selected?

The application will heavily consume system's resources. A possible fix is to set the following option and then to use Change Background:

  • set resolution to 640 x 480 pixels @ 5 frames
